Valentines

I can’t believe the amount of Valentines Day posts I’ve seen particularly over the past 2 weeks, it’s not even the end of January. I haven’t had a “Valentine” in 2 or 3 years and quite honestly, I don’t care. Mainly because i don’t need just one day with someone special but because it marks the 3 year anniversary since my dad left. I don’t dig for sympathy and I won’t lie, saying a card/getting treated wouldn’t be nice but it’s not a necessity. I’m not even being bitter, for once, I’m being realistic. The amount of attention seeking it brings e.g. “4eva alone” is pretty cringey, even as a joke, and I guarantee there’ll be several cat lady references.
